Goat Hill Public Arts & Literature Society (GHPALS)
The Goat Hill Public Arts & Literature Society concerns itself with all the arts available to the people who live in Goat Hill, as the mesa used to be called. We are lovers of comic books, movies, tv shows, live theater, books of all kinds and any and all art media. Great local venues on GH include the appropriately named Goat Hill Tavern and The Triangle, two public libraries (Orange County and Newport Beach), 2 colleges and 3 high schools with theater programs, several local theater groups and the Orange County Fairgrounds. South Coast Repertory and The Orange County Performing Arts Center are just off the mesa to the north. Bowers Museum and the Orange County Museum of Art are minutes away. GHPALS meets erratically. When it does, members discuss whatever the members want and they share their opinions candidly without fear of undue harassment by other members. Our appointed recorder posts the discussions the PALS agree should be reported. While we value consensus we don't demand it.
